In carrying out its mission, Passion 4 Guatemala builds homes, churches, schools, vocational schools, and provides clean water. Passion 4 Guatemala also administers a child sponsorship program to help provide education, medical needs, and basic needs to the Guatemalan people. The organization provides uniforms, school shoes, tennis shoes, school supplies to students, as well as, providing a tutor to help the children with their homework due to many of their parents being illiterate and uneducated. School is free only through the 6th grade in Guatemala, and thus the organization began a program to provide scholarships to children who would like to continue their education. Our scholarship program gives scholarships for middle school, high school and university students. Passion 4 Guatemala also has a social worker that works directly with Chris and Paula on the ground in Guatemala. Additionally, we provide funds for the Guatemalan people to receive medical and dental care and necessary medications. The Maranatha House is a faith based, safe space for healing, spiritual growth, and education created so that disadvantaged young adults can gain skills and confidence to overcome the limitations of poverty. Chris and Paula, Passion 4 Guatemala missionaries, share the gospel of Jesus Christ on the ground in Guatemala, through personal relationships with the families they serve, as well as, youth ministry and children’s ministry, and administering the programs of Passion 4 Guatemala.
